Rajmachi & Canyon Valley Trek 12 Sep






Rajmachi (Udhewadi) is a small village in the rugged mountains of Sahyadri in India. The fortification at Rajmachi consists of two forts , namely Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan Fort. Rajmachi Fort is a popular trekking destination. It is a very famous fort located near two famous hills of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khanadala.

Our Journey:


We started our trek on 12 Sep early morning through Pune Lonawala local train at 5am.
We all met on local train enjoyed the company of friends and some new trekkers.
Had breafast & tea @ lonawala.

Then we moved towards Udhewadi village via 6 seater around 8 am. This was adventherous journey on route. We left the 4 wheeler near Uhewadi village where we can see beautiful glimpsim of Rajmachi fort. Here we started our actual trek.

Now we started our terk on 8 km jungle route.
crossed one water stream and did lot of photography in between.

After 3 hr trek we finally reached at fort base at 11 am.
After visiting temple at base we started ascending trek Rajmachi fort.

we reached at top in 1.5 hr.
we explored the fort, cave, beautifull Kataldhar fall view.
We enjoyed out handmade bhel.
Start descending and reached at base at 4 PM.

Then we started our return journey Towards Kondane caves route.
Suddenly rain started while descend trek. Now trek routes get slippry and more adventhrous.

we reached Kondane caves around 6 PM. We enjoyed the caves and waterfall.
Then we moved towards Karjat Station via 6 seater again.
After having Dinner at Karjat we catch Local train for Pune.
This was amazing Mansoon trek with energetic members.

On the way from pune to Mumbai , there is a ghat section near khandala with hills on one side and deep valley full of waterfalls in monsoon on the other side , Ulhas river originates from this valley called as canyon valley or tiger valley or ulhas valley.
